A similar design for the site received its underlying variances and conditional site plan approval back in 2024; this week's Planning Board vote approves the specific lot-consolidation and phased-construction plan needed to move the project forward. Construction is expected to proceed in three phases — starting with demolition of the hotel, followed by the main build-out, and finishing with the transition of operations and remaining site infrastructure — designed to keep the existing casino operating with minimal disruption during the work.
