IGT Unveils New Brand Identity at G2E 2026, Its First Since Merging With Everi
IGT, one of the largest slot machine and casino systems manufacturers in the world, unveiled a new corporate logo and brand identity at the opening of G2E 2026 in Las Vegas on September 28. It's the company's first rebrand since Apollo Global Management combined IGT's gaming and digital business with fintech company Everi Holdings, and executives framed it as a visual signal that the two businesses are now operating as one integrated company rather than separate product lines.
From "stuffy" to "modern, sleek"
IGT CEO Hector Fernandez told attendees the company had cycled through four different logos over its roughly 47-48 year history, and described the outgoing look as "a bit stuffy," adding, somewhat self-deprecatingly, that "some would say arrogant." The new identity centers on a modern wordmark with a purple gradient treatment, which Fernandez called "chapter one" of the merged company's new direction. "When games, systems, payments, and insights work together, a magnetic gaming experience is unlocked," he told the G2E audience, tying the rebrand directly to the combined company's broader pitch.
What the merger actually brought together
The Everi deal paired IGT's slot content, cabinets, and casino management systems with Everi's cashless payments, kiosk, and fintech infrastructure — pieces that, until the merger, operators typically had to source from separate vendors. Fernandez described the resulting strategy as "casino as a service," bundling floor systems, the newly introduced Advantage X product, cashless payment technology, and both land-based and igaming content under a single account relationship. IGT also flagged Asia-Pacific as a priority growth region, where Fernandez said the company currently holds under 10% market share and is targeting a meaningfully larger footprint over the next two to three years.
Why it matters to US casino players
A new logo doesn't change a single slot machine's payback percentage or a casino's player rewards structure on its own. What it does signal is the continued consolidation of the technology sitting behind the games, payment kiosks, and loyalty systems on casino floors nationwide — IGT and Everi equipment is already common at commercial and tribal casinos across the US, and a more tightly integrated vendor can mean faster rollout of new cashless payment options and loyalty features at the properties that use its systems.
