DraftKings, FanDuel Return as Official NFL Sportsbook Partners
The NFL announced on August 27 that it has signed new multi-year sports betting partnership agreements with both DraftKings and FanDuel, bringing the two largest U.S. sportsbook operators back into the league's official partner program alongside Fanatics, which also joined as an NFL betting and casino partner. The deals restore ties that had lapsed after DraftKings, FanDuel, and Caesars' prior NFL sportsbook agreements expired.
What the deals cover
Under the new agreements, DraftKings and FanDuel gain the right to use NFL trademarks in their sportsbook and casino marketing, a presence at marquee league events including the NFL Draft and Super Bowl, and integration across NFL digital media properties. Fanatics' deal additionally covers online casino, and DraftKings separately retains its existing exclusive daily fantasy sports partnership with the league. All three operators are required to comply with the NFL's core sportsbook policies, which include sharing betting data with the league, supporting responsible gambling initiatives, and prohibiting wagers on officiating decisions, injuries, or other outcomes the league considers "knowable in advance" or easily manipulated by a single person.
Why it matters
The announcement lands roughly two weeks before the 2026 regular season kicks off, giving all three operators a full marketing runway heading into the league's highest-traffic betting window of the year. For bettors, it means NFL-branded marketing and promotional activity from DraftKings and FanDuel will be visible again around league broadcasts and events after a period without formal NFL sportsbook ties. The deals aren't exclusive — the NFL now has three separate operator partners rather than one, a structure that mirrors how other major U.S. leagues have moved toward multiple simultaneous sportsbook partnerships rather than a single exclusive deal.
